Janet Rennie, B 1745, Father James Rennie, Mother Jean Rennie, married James Carnegie on July 7, 1764 in East Lothian, Dirleton. Child: William Carnegie, Died 1855, Spouse: Margaret Morrison Their Children: Thomas Carnegie Andrew Carnegie B Nov. 25, 1835 D Aug. 11/1919, Married Louise Whitfield. They had a daughter, Margaret. This is the Andrew Carnegie who migrated to America in 1848 to amass a fortune from iron works and become one of America's best known philanthropists.
