Source: 14 November 2005 Daily Southerner newspaper, Tarboro, NC JAMES CARMACK BETHEL - James Carmack, 66, of Bethel, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005. Funeral services was held Sunday at Conetoe Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Adkins Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Pinelawn Cemetery in Bethel. Carmack is survived by his wife, Mary Carmack; four sons, Vernon Carmack of Bethel, Anthony Carmack of Danbury, Conn., Milton Staton of Frederickburg, Va., and Travis Wooten of Greenville; four daughters, Deborah Carmack of Danbury, Conn., Linda McNeil and Virginia Ross both of Greenville and Karen Cherry of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Judy Howell of Raleigh and Rosa Purvis of Charlotte; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were by Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary, Tarboro.
