I'm trying to find out information about the family of Solomon Carmack (who had a daughter, Celia, who married Lewis Cox in 1811).

I suspect that my g-g-g-grandfather was a son of Lewis Cox and Celia Carmack.

His name was Eli Cox. He names one of his daughters Celia and there is a court record showing that he was involved in some court case involving the settlement of the property of Hollon Carmack. I found this on NCGenWeb:

STATE DOCKET, SUPERIOR COURT LENOIR COUNTY, SEPTEMBER TERM AD 1842
3.2 series - Folder 710

*********
DOE on DEMISE OF HOLLON CARMACK vs ROW ELI COX & SOLOMON W. CARMACK -
Ejectment

NOTE: On 1850 Census, Eli Cox lives just a few houses down from Solomon Carmack. This would not be the Solomon, father of Celia. This would probably be Celia's brother.

Does anyone have any information about the Carmack or Cox families and/or how they interrelated?

Also, does anyone have any further information or understanding about the court record I listed above?

Thanks in advance!
