Hi again,

I found a bit more.

Obit for Sophie Jepsen - obit is dated Mrch 16,17, 2006 in the Montreal Gazette

says

so quite a bit of info there - from what it says I take it to mean her siblings Niels, Margrette and John had died before her .

I googled Dagny Jorgenson and there is at tributes.com a tribute to her showing she was born July 11, 1920 and died January 16, 2010 -it says she was a residence of Minneapolis, MN

I also just found her obit at legacy.com

JORGENSEN, Dagny Rigmor (Smith) of Edina, MN, age 89
Born July 11, 1920 in Vejen, Denmark, immigrated to Canada at age of 6.
Married pastor Herman E. Jorgensen Jr. of Minneapolis in 1945. He served

Survived by sons Erik (Laurel & Liz) of MN, Rolf (Karen & Lars, Hans/Maru) of WA, Erling (Karen & Kamini) of NH, brother Frederik (Inger) Smith of Canada and many nieces and nephews. a bit odd that her obit does not show her death date? It does, however mention that her brother Frederik is still living at the time.

while it says she married in 1945 it does not say where and I have not found her marriage in Quebec records.

familysearch.org has births of two children for Dagny - Erik in 1946 MN
and Rolf in 1951 MN

It sounds - from the obits - as though Fred stayed in Quebec, but I cannot find his marriage to Inger. Also have not found an obit so he may still be living - but maybe you know if he is or not? Maybe Inger's maiden name would help to find the marriage but that was not included in the obits.

I still cannot find a marriage for John either - did he marry?

Well, I just found Inger's obit which has her maiden name as Andersen

SMITH, Inger (nee Andersen)
1918-2012

Passed away peacefully at the B.M.P. hospital in Cowansville, Jan. 28, 2012, at the age of ninety-three. Loving wife of Frederik Smith, both from Denmark, lived and worked in Brossard, retired in Phillipsburg, Qc. She also leaves behind her daughter Karen (Erling Jorgensen), her grandddaughter Kamini, her brother Vagn in Denmark and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will take place at the St.-Paul's Anglican Church in Phillipsburg Feb. 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. (open at 1 p.m.) In her memory donations to the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund would be welcomed by the family.

*******

even with this info on her maiden name I cannot find their marriage, nor birth of daughter Karen.

In the obit for Dagny I had assumed that Erling was her son - was he?
He was obviously married to karen, daughter of Fred and Inger.
