BMDs are a provincial responsibility and each province has different rules as to what they release to the public. BC's vital statistics site only indicates marriages available up to 1932. Ontario's is similar. Most provinces will not release marriage records younger than 75 years. Church records may be a bit more lenient and Quebec's records have been published at Ancestry.ca, but I do not find a marriage for him there.
Your best bet is to find an obituary which may give her maiden name or the name of a surviving brother.
