Hello Kathleen, sorry about the year and a half wait on some dates.
My great Grandfather Peter Perry or was he Pierre Poirier? On some documents I found it has him listed as Peter or Pierre, with a last name of either Perry or Poirier. I found his death certificate on the PANB. He was he born 01 May 1873 and died 03 June 1936, at the age of 63 years old? Buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Saint John N.B. It lists his parents as Frank Perry and his mother was Veronica Arsenault. Both were born in P.E.I.
His wife, Catherine Daigle (born 16 October 1883) was 56 and a widow when she remarried to a John (or Jack) Elward, on 06 Nov 1939 in Saint John, Parish of Lancaster, New Brunswick at the Assumption Church, West Saint John.
Her name was written in by the registrar as Carey Daigle on the marriage certificate as found in the PANB. On some other documents that I found, it had her name as Caroline, Carroline, Carolyn, Carrie, Carline or Mary. On the marriage certificate it has her father as Adolphe Daigle born in Point Sapin, Kent Co. New Brunswick. It has as her mother, Elizabeth Myers. But on her late registration of birth certificate filed in 1948 (found in the PANB) it has as her father, Adolph Daigle and mother as Elizabeth Maillet. Hmmm.
