Is there anyone (male Thompson) who would be willing to take a DNA test whose ancestors lived at Kaladar, Flinton, Barrie Ontario in Lennox and Addington/Frontenac County?

Specifically I am referring to living descendents in the John Thompson and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick line. John was born about 1822 time frame, died 1885 at Barrie, Frontenac County, Ontario. Elizabeth died in April 1885 at same place.

His sons:

Samuel 1851-1926 married Deborah Thompson in 1872 and had at least four sons, then married Matilda Dewar in 1897 and had two more sons

John Thompson 1855-1918 married Sarah Huffman, seven known sons

Robert J. Thompson born 1855, died after 1931 married Rebecca Lloyd, five known sons

Wilson Thompson 1867-1913 married Flora Meeks, four known sons

Thomas Thompson 1867-1952 married Mary Anne Thompson, six known sons.

There are several other Thompson lines who have participated in DNA testing, and we hope to be able to match this specific line to others. The cost of the DNA kit would be paid for by Thompson researchers (at no cost to whoever comes forward to do the testing).

If you need any further info about these Thompson lines to see if you are eligible to be tested, or need further info about how and where to be tested, let me know.

Thanks from Nora
