I am back continuing my search for our family. Since I last posted a message on this site I have found many members of my family with the help of others. But, I am still stuck.
I am searching for where Joseph Barger born 1820 came from he married Hanna Geiger b, 3 January 1839.they settled in Vaughan Township, York Co., Ontario, Canada. They had 7 children John, Joseph, Elizabeth, James, Peter, Mary Ann, Johannah, and David.In the 1901 census I see as follows;
Barger, James, Head, single, b. 11 November 1864, aged 36
Barger, B. Johanna, Mother, widow, b. 3 January 1839, aged 62, b. Germany, emigrated 1857
Barger, David, Brother, single, b. 11 July 1883, aged 17.
John is our grandfather, Joseph his brother I found with the help of a family member and James died young and is burried in the Edgley Mennonite Cemetery in Vaughan Township, as is Joseph and his wife Hannah.
As for where the other siblings have disappeared to I haven't a clue, and am still searching.
I have tried searching for Hannah Geiger thinking this might give me a lead but, this is a dead end.On one site it says she is Dutch and in the 1901 census it says from Germany.
If anyone out there has some sugestions I would be greatful for your help.
