Hi Harry, I'm not sure what else you need on them, but I see from a somewhat older post of your that Maude died in 918 an daughter Elva was adopted out. You also mentioned in those old posts that you thought Howard might have been born in Michigan but I found marriage for his parents in California in 1909 so thought he may have been born there, but cannot find his birth. But, as the family left soon after he was born to go to Canada, they may not have registered him. ?? The marriage record is at familysearch.org and shows they married June 10, 1909 Los Angeles His full name Reginald Brotherhood Johnston - parents Mahlon A. Johnston and Rhoda J. Brotherhood Maude Vesta Nickerson, parents Alberto Nickerson and Celia M. Linnell Reginald is also in US WW11 draft reg, living in LA - his contact is Mrs. Norene Johnston, 1472-1/2 W. 37 Pl., Los Angeles - so a second wife maybe ? and he died Dec. 11, 1959 LA He is listed in death as Ray B. Nickerson and Celia M. Linnell AND looks like Maude age 16, was in Michigan in 1900 census living with her sister Ethel M., age 23 . Ethel is married to Ernest Lincoln and they have one child Ion C. age 4. Ethel is age 3 in 1880 census with parents. As Maude was born 1883 she is not in any census with her parents BUT since she is in MI in 1900 perhaps she did go back there to have her son Howard. I have not been able to find Reginald and your Dad Howard in Canada after 1911 census, nor have I found them crossing into US. I didn't find Maude and daughter crossing to US either.
