Hi, I am looking for any available information on Arlington Welland PLYLEY and his wife Mary GILLIS. To my knowledge, they had a son, D.G.PLYLEY who was one of two survivors of a Lancaster 111 - PB477 bomber crash 02 Jan. 1945 near Rhohau, Germany. Plyly was captured by the Germans after he bailed from the aircraft and placed in a concentration camp. He survived his ordeal and returned home. I believe this man died about 7-8 years ago. He never married. I am not related to this man....just researching the crew members of PB477; my uncle lost his life in this crash. Ancestry shows nothing for D.G. PLYLEY and I am hoping that there is someone on this list who lives in Elgin County who knows of this family and could help. Dorothy |
