William, I've seen the Coventry family in Oxford, Ontario and for a while I thought they were my Coventrys, but I was wrong. The thing that gave it away was that their daughter Elizabeth never married. She was the same age as my Elizabeth, but I grew suspicious when I kept seeing her in later censuses. She died in 1891 at age 50, having never married. Well that shot that theory right down. There was a James Coventry who lived in Chinguacousy 2 spaces away on the census from Jacob Shook and family. At first I thought he was too old to be Elizabeth's father, but evidently he was not, he was 54 when she was born but apparently a man is never too old to have more kids. Strange though, that Elizabeth does not appear in the 1851 census but is in the 1861 census with her father. I wonder if Ruth, age 9 in 1861, is James' daughter. I don't know when he became a widower for the second time with Mary Ann. Thank you for all your help! Nicely done!
