Dear Carolyn: Thanks so much for the information. I seem to have mistyped Creighton Daniels' birth date, which is 1886 (not -96) and lots of people have been calling me on it. Yes, 1886 and I think Ed and offspring(s) arrive 1889.

I have been to manitoba vitalstats and I do not find this birth listing for Creighton.I will play with it again and see what I'm doing wrong, because it would surely be interesting to see. I find it very hard to use!

It is interesting to fill in the blanks about Ed's 2d marriage. I hadn't bothered up to now, as my real focus has been on the Creighton end of things: Ed's first wife and the 8 children;, who are my relatives.

I have maintained all along that the family went from Nova Scotia directly to Worcester in 1886 or 1887. They made it to Worcester in time for the birth of Ruby (1887) and of Edward (1888); the death of Ruby (1888) and the death of mother Ella (1888). All of this is documented.

I'm beginning to think that maybe they left NS sometime 1883-1885 and went to Manitoba, where Creighton was born. THEN in 1886 or -87 they headed to worcester for all the above events. Ed then took the remaining 4 girls + Creighton back to Brandon (they do show up in the 1891 census there). He remarried and the girls scattered and are gone by 1901. This is the only thing I can piece together that makes sense.
