I am researching the children of my Great Great Aunt CHRISTINA MCLEOD (b. 5.4.1852 Strathy, Scotland,) and her husband JOHN MUNRO (b. 1842)- in particulr those who went to America and/or Canada, namely
THOMAS MUNRO (b. 7.1.1888 Strathy, Scotland) who in 1931 was at EVERETT POST OFFICE, EVERETT, ALBERTA, and
MARGARET MUNRO (b. 1896 Strathy, Scotland) who travelled to Detroit, Michigan, on 20 June 1931 and may have married JAMES WHITE, who at that time was at 8716 St. Paul St., Detroit, Michigan. Margaret died in January 1988 in Canada.
However, it's possible that it was her sister, BARBRA MUNRO b. 1893 who actually married James White because when their mother, Christina, died on 16.5.1916. the informant was Margaret Munro (not White). Their mother is buried at Strathy Burial Ground Grave No. 37, and her grandchildren from Canada erected the headstone.
I would appreciate any clarification and information.
Denise (nee Macleod)
