It was a couple of years ago that I started the Campion Forum in the hopes of finding some connections. Now 405 messages later I still have not found one, so thought I would try all of you again.
My grandfather was James Henry Campion born about 1870 in or near Boston. We think his family may have come from Cork Ireland. The 1910 census in Pittsburgh indicates that his parents were from Ireland. James Henry married MaryEllen Gillen of Brooklny, NY and began a family there. Later lived in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinati and finally Philadelphia. Eleven children -Elizabeth. James,Richard,Walter,John,Margaret,Mary, Martha, Sarah (my mother), Catherine and Lucy. Catholic Irish family.
The only cousins to carry on the Campion name were the children of John Campion. They were born in St. Louis probably in the 1920's.
Does anyone have any connections? Thanks
