Thanks for the reply--Just a couple of things--Thomas and Jane were married prior to 1847 as per the "Primitive Methodist" baptism records for William 1847 and Elizabeth Ann 1849. Unfortunatly no marriage record shows up anywhere for them. In the baptism records Thomas is listed as both a school teacher and school master. As for his birth place he was from Whitechapel but apparently not born there. Birth date is either January 1818 or 1819. Given his foray into teaching he would seem to have had some decent education in England. He was also a member of the local county militia in the 1860's. Records as to where he taught school do not seem to exist either in Whitchurch or Scott Townships.
What else do I have? An online tree with over 500 records for this family plus 35 pictures of various people or stones. (I can get you on this tree as a guest but will need your email)
What am I looking for? Birth records for Thomas and Jane plus a picture of them. Also pictures of John Cain. Amazingly with every thing I have I have never even photographed his stone in the Mt. Albert cemetery.
I am from the James Cain side of the family (great grandfather)and was born and raised in the Zephyr--Mt. Albert area which I know very well. I do not live there now. I have great info on Mt. Albert but prior to 1880 when the town was named after the Birchard family.
