Since you have the death certificate you will have his city of residence. Go to the following site for So. California Obituaries http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~socalobituaries/ Click on the "bookcase" icon Click on Los Angeles County Scroll down page to city of residence for help. If his city of residence does not have a source contact the library for this city for help. I did not find an obituary in the Los Angeles Times. Pat
