I came across the San Luis Obisco County, CA listing for Mortgage Index 1856-1885 where it listed: Mortgagor: CASNER, Jonas Mortgagee: C. H. PHILLIPS Date: 12/4/1874 Book/Page No. C-279 Does anyone know who this Jonas Casner might be. I'm endeavoring to determine if he is my Jonas Casner/Carsner that arrived in OR in 1852 but disappears after 1865. Would like to hear from anyone who has information on the Jonas Casner who was in SLO county.
