DROWNED -- Frederick MYERS, a teamster from Sacramento, was drowned Wednesday 17th inst., together with 4 of his mules, a short distance from Norris' bridge. His team mired in crossing a slough, and in getting off to go to their rescue, the drier was entangled with them and drowned before assistance could reach him. The body has been recovered. The deceased leaves a wife to whom he was recently married.
