Well, perhaps you already know this re: her death? EMERSON, Harford Marie b. 07/24/1907, father's last name Nobel, Female, b. CA, d. Placer County, CA on 10/06/1997, ss#545-70-6058. You can order her original social security application (which should list her parents, as she was alive at the time it was filled out)... go to the ssdi site (at www.rootsweb.com would work) and click on order app or whatever it says on the right. When they mail it to you, it would have names of parents, as she listed with ss when she applied for app. Though it takes a while, it might be quicker than trying to obtain a birth cert for her. If you have her death cert, you may be able to get birth cert? They are pretty tight with the birth certs in CA, as you may well know. Best Wishes.
