I'm looking for information on Matthew Butcher found in the 1850 census of Barbour Co., VA/WV. According to the census, he was born about 1796 and his wife was Nancy born about 1809. Possibly this is the same Matthew found in the 1840 census of Monongalia Co., VA/WV. Family Search says that he is the son of Robert and Lydia Stevenson Butcher of Sussex, DE. Any help appreciated.
