The 1880 Census shows new information about this family. Philip Burg (abt. 1832-1891) had two sons born in New Jersey -- William b. 1858 and Samuel b. 1860. Apparently his wife died when Samuel was born or shortly after because Philip next appears in Massachusetts where he married a second time and had another son Jacob, born about 1862 in Massachusetts. Are there any descendants of these Burgs out there?
