Elizabeth:

Have you had any luck tracking down Zacarias?

I ask because a recent DNA test ties my line of Brownings into the Ange family, who evidently were from Martin Co, NC as of the late 1700's. Ergo, my Brownings may have been from there, and may have been kin to Zacarias.

I seek two guys, Isaac Browning and Benjamin Browning, probably brothers, but possibly some other relation. Both were born in the mid 1700's, made their way down the coast into frontier GA, and from there across to the Baton Rouge, LA area ca 1800. My Brownings descend from Benjamin and have populated the eastern portion of East Baton Rouge Parish since that time; some remain there to this day.

DNA testing seems to indicate that my Brownings tie into the "main" line of Brownings, but no one knows where. I've been backtracking Isaac and Benjamin for almost 20 years and progress is slow. Best bets have them coming out of NC, and prior to that MD, but those are only guesses.

Anything new from your end?

Thanks,
