hoping someone will have info for the Brown side... we can't seem to get farther :( the story with Isom (maybe an alt spelling of Isham) is that there may have been a legal thing he wanted away from and so told little to the family about his past... the father being Samuel is the most we can be sure of according to ggma Brown. thanks for any help! Erica Brown Williams A man by the name of Isom Payne Brown born on March 4,1827 Birthplace is unknown Probably somewhere in Pennsylvania. (whose Father a Mr. Samuel Brown who had died on or about 1832 ; the place or burial is unknown but was probably somewhere in Pennsylvania. His Mothers name is unknown. Isom's Paynes Family had probably migrated from England , settled somewhere in Pennsylvania and by Covered Wagon then on to Kentucky or Tenn. then on to Indiana around Rush County. There he met and married Sarah T. Machlen on Jan. 19,1848 and then they sometime later moved on to area around Marshall, Illinois . |
