Hi Jackie, I am decended from Gustaf Carl Broman, and believe Broman may be a very common Swedish name.I know many of the Swedish women's surnames ended in dotter which meant daughter of.and the men in son. Thus the surname of th son of Eric became Ericson and the daughter of Johan became Johansdotter.hope this may be of some help. Good luck in your search.
