I can't give you proof but I can wonder with you. I have Matthew H. Brewer on my database. Born in SC 1770, died 1832. I see no son Thomas Jefferson Brewer (7 children). Married Mary "Polly" born in SC. I have his parents as Lt. Wm. Brewer (1758)and Elizabeth Holman1780-1800. But I have Matthew H. (parents unproven). This Wm. Brewer is the son of Burwell Brewer and Elizabeth Patrick. They are my ancestors. It is my understanding that he William is a proven DAR ancestor - but I'm not sure.
Next - There was a Brewer I researched with (now deceased) who was checking on some Brewers in Sumter County. I was going through the letters I have received from him and there might be someone that would help in there. I have lots of loose pieces of paper and it would take time I don't have today to check that out.
I have 2 Brewer lines that I research. The one I mentioned is from George's second wife, Alice. The one who might be in Sumter County is from George's first wife, Sarah Lanier if it all works as I think it might as I know what line my researcher friend was working on. I have seen those messages this week because I'm working on my Burwell Brewer line. I can't find it right now. I'm old and I misplace things.
