I wish someone could help me find my g. grandmother's family.

My g. grandmother was "Harriett Augusta Brewer dit Hanson".

On her marriage registration to "Samuel E. (Edgar) Brown" she has her maiden name down as "Brewer". Mother and father are down simply as Martha & William.

Hattie and Samuel had 5 children, Stillman Edgar(Edward)b. 1894, Ethel Winifred, b. 1898, Harriett Leola, b. 1903, Marion Gladys b. 1906, and Charles Douglas b. 1910...in or around Fredericton, NB. On all her children's birth registration she has her maiden name as "Hanson".

My mother told me her grandmother was adopted and that Hattie's maiden name was "Hanson". It wasn't until I discovered Hattie's marriage registration to Samuel E. Brown that I found out that her birth name was Brewer. Her place of birth was down as Keswick, NB.

On her death certificate it states her b. as May 7, 1867; however on her marriage registration she is down as being 20 when she got married which means she could have been born in 1869. So it is safe to say she was born bwt. 1867-69. Parents are simply down as Mr. & Mrs. Hanson of England.

My mother told me that Hattie said she had a twin and that both were adopted out to different families. It is possible that maybe what she meant is that she had twin sisters but not sure.

Since she was given up to the Hanson family I am wondering if perhaps Mr. & Mrs. Hanson were related to the Brewer family as often back then was the case for adopted children. Since Hattie's given names remained the same it is more then likely that the adoption wasn't notorized as was common back in the day.

In the NB Archives it shows many marriages between the Brewer's and Hanson's as it was common back in the day to marry within one's family line.

In short, if anyone has this information in their family dynamics could you please let me know who my Hattie's ancestors were?
