Herbert Carroll Brewer, 82, born November 4, 1928, went to
be with the Lord on Friday, December 31, 2010. He was a
faithful member and deacon of Cool Branch Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Leona
Johnson Brewer; brothers, Eugene Brewer and Wayne Brewer;
sisters, Ina Greene, Evelyn Wolfe, Maxine Tripucka, and
Margaret Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Horace Greene and
Tony Wolfe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bonnie
Williams Brewer; daughter, Brenda Gibson; son and daughter-
in-law, Larry and Sherry Brewer; grandchildren, Brad Brewer
and wife Kasey, Landon Brewer and fiancé Lindsey Seal,
Amanda Collins, and Danielle Mabe and husband Josh; great-
grandchildren, Allison Collins, Addilyn Mabe, Brantley
Brewer, and Lanna Brewer; sister and brother-in-law,
Juanita and Johnny Wear; sister-in-law, Blanch Brewer;
brother-in-law, Paul Tripucka; and a host of nieces and
nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Short, Amedisys nurses
and the employees of D & J Market for all their care and
support.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on
Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Cool Branch Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday,
January 3, 2011, at the Cool Branch Baptist Church, with
the Rev. Tommy Seals, the Rev. Keith Bunch, and the Rev.
Gary Gibson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brewer-Greene Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Horace Helton Jr., Jessie
Royston, Rick Williams, Bob McCoy, Barry Maxey, Austin
Hicks, Brian Hicks, and Caleb Seals. Serving as honorary
pallbearers will be Rodney Brewer, P. J. Tripucka, Gary
Brewer, and Clyde Williams
