What is known of Mazeppa Brewer's ancestry can be found at the Brouwer Genealogy Database. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~brouwergenealogydata/p49.htm#i127467 You can find Mazeppa in the index. His ancestry beyond his great-grandparents, Peter Brewer and Elizabeth Stone is not known. Some have claimed that this Peter Brewer is a descendant of Adam Brouwer, however, DNA testing of a known descendant of Peter Brewer and Elizabeth Stone, has demonstrated that this family cannot be descendants of Adam Brouwer. Personally, I suspect that Peter Brewer (Mazeppa's great-grandfather) has his roots in New England. Regards, Chris Chester
