Ernest Robert Brewer, 92, of Bristol, VA, passed away on April 15, 2009, at Bristol Nursing Home. Ernest was the son of the late Hugh and Linnie Craighead Brewer and had made his home with Frazier and Pat Brewer for the past several years. He was retired from the Norfolk and Western Railroad and also spent his time doing carpenter work. Mr. Brewer was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Ruth Brewer; a son Donald H. Brewer; a brother; and a sister. Ernest is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 10 a.m., at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Edward Harlow officiating. Military Honors will be conducted. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home. http://www.Weaverfuneralhome.net
