James Brash and Catherine Brown had a son James b. abt 1836 somewhere in Scotland. James Jr. married Barbara Hutchison 31 Dec 1861 in High Church, Glasgow, and they emigrated to St. Paul, Minnesota probably by way of Canada, abt. 1879. James was a locomotive engineer. They had 8 known children: Agnes Hamilton 1862 Springburn James Alexander 1864 Springburn Catherine Brown 1867 Inverkip Jessie Hutchison 1869 Inverkip Anna Bella Carmichael 1870 Greenock Duncan Carmichael 1873 Greenock Lewis C. 1876 [Scotland] Gene H. 1878 [Canada] If known, details on any of the above would be helpful.
