It has been quite some time since I have posted. I am still searching for information for the Brame ancestors who came to Missouri ca. 1852. They settled in what was to become Carter County, MO when it was organized in 1859. Peter M and Martha Moss Brame along with their children came to Carter County when it was wilderness and carved out farms along Carter Creek for several miles. One source told me the first farm was located on the head waters of Carter Creek. I descend from their son, Francis Marion (Frank).
