Suzanne, Raymond BOURGEOIS (s/o Jean & Henriette Bonneau) was NOT born on the Magdalen Islands! I know that for a fact being the expert researcher of the families from there! He was born and married in Cheticamp, NS on 24 Nov 1829 to Esther BOURGEOIS (not Cormier!) d/o Jean Bourgeois & Marie Chiasson. He and Esther moved to the Magdalens only in 1835, and left there for Sandy Point in 1848 with their children. His father was the s/o Paul and Madeleine Cormier. They are not connected to the Magdalen Islands Bourgeois clan as closely as you would like to believe. Dennis Boudreau, US-Expert Madelinot genealogist
