Hello my name is Stephanie Betz and I live in Lawrence, Kansas. This evening I was very radomly surfing the internet when I decided to go to google.com and search "Betz family." It brought me to this page where yours was the last message posted. When I saw that you brought to the attention KS in your subject title I decided to look in my family geneology book which I borrowed from my grandmother a few years ago to do a school project on my family history. So when I saw what you were looking for I started thumbing through this massive book and at nearly the very end I found this, "Frederick Betz 2433 Freedon Boulevard Watsonville, CA 95076 My name is Frederick Betz, Jr., my father came from the vacinity of Bamberg in the late 1800's and met and married my mother, Frieda Volgebein in this country. (She was from Hanover) My brother was born in 1916 and died in 1983 leaving his wife Harriet and four children, Frances, Mary, Shirley, and Robert, all of whom are married, and some have children. All live in the Los Angeles, California vacinity. I married the former Bettie Brown. We have the following children, George, and Frederick III (twins), 1942, David 1944, died 1965, Richard, 1947, Barbra 1953, Linda 1956, and Rodger 1958. We have sixteen grandchildren. They all live in the Central California area. Frederick Betz, born in 1916." I hope this in some way helps you. All the dates you inquired about seem to match up.
