Searching for info and family of Charlotte Bethel, b. Nov. 1830 Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas. Daughter of Benjamin Bethel, Sr. b. Harbour Island, Eleuthera and Sarah Adams b. 17 Apr 1803 Hope Town, Abaco, granddaughter of Jacob Adams b. 11 May 1763 VA & Wyannie Lavinia Malone, b. abt 1770 Charleston, Berkeley Co., SC. Married Thomas Johnson, b. 1830 abt. 1847 and had three children, Belice, 1848, William Eldridge, 1850 and Emily Ellen 1853. Second marriage to Edward Russell, b. 1828, abt. 1854, had five children, Edward 1855, Female 1858, Benjamin F. 1860, Regina 1861 and Male 1865 plus 4 more. I know the first 8 children born in Hope Town. Edward and Charlotte moved to Key West in 1873. In 1900 Monroe Co., Key West, FL Census she list having 12 children, age 69, married 47 years and gives birth date as Nov 1830. She may have died in 1914 in Key West. Charlotte was my GG Grandmother and I'm hoping to find Russell cousins with whom I can exchange family info and photos. I did not know about this 2nd marriage until April 09. William Eldrige Johnson was my G Grandfather and came to Port Orange, FL in 1867. Port Orange is still the home to many of William & Charlottes descendants. many thanks Ted E. Johnson, Jr.
