Just started researching my Beitel side; I’ve been putting this off because of the lack of information I have. Due to a family rift, I have little to no knowledge of this half of the family. I do know that the Beitels I descend from are recorded in the Pittsburgh area. At some point, my grandfather, I think it was, moved to Pitman, New Jersey (a suburb of Philadelphia). Since I really have no information, I’ll just trace back as far as I can. My father’s name is BRUCE ALAN BEITEL and was born 1956 in Woodbury, NJ. He has one sibling, a sister (BEVERLY ANN BEITEL). His parents, my grandparents are, WALTER LEWIS BEITEL (1917-present, born Pittsburgh, PA?) and KATHRYN ANN TOMASSO of Vineland, NJ. My great-grandfather (Walter’s father) is LEWIS BEITEL. I don’t have any dates on him, but I’m fairly sure he married my great-grandmother, IRENE DEMPSEY in Pittsburgh. -And that’s all I have! I doubt it’s enough to make any connections but maybe someone has knowledge of the names... it's worth a try, right? I’d also be interested in learning about the Beitels of Pittsburgh if I ultimately descend from them. Any information would be appreciated. ~Mike mike_beitel@hotmail.com
