Looking for information on siblings & parents of Heinrich BEUTEL (b. 18 Jan 1711 in Neundorf - later called Adamsthal, Austrian Silesia; d. 4 Dec 1763 in Herrnhut, Germany; m. 8 Oct 1739 to Elisabeth PASCHKE in Wetteravia, Germany). According to research by Charles Henry BEITEL (abt 1900) & later Ashley Howard BEITEL (abt 1957), Heinrich's father was born abt 1660, reared a family at Neundorf, & died at Gradenfrei, Prussian Silesia in 1748. His mother died at Gradenfrei in 1747. Supposedly, Heinrich had one older sister & two younger sisters. According to Moravian records in Herrnhut, Heinrich helped his sister Elisabeth & another woman emigrate from Neundorf, & had to flee to Peilau to avoid arrest. He later became a noted Moravian missionary & traveled regularly to the mission station of Pilgerhut in Berbice, province of Surinam (later part of British Guiana), South America. He & wife Elisabeth had seven known children - five sons & two daughters. Two sons died in childhood, the remaining three sons were educated & lived in America. It is presumed that the two daughters remained in Germany. Anyone have additional info on Heinrich's siblings & parents? |
