I am trying to find proof of Melinda's relationship to her parents for membership consideration in the DAR. I have a list of the children of William Beauchamp and Nancy Parker but I don't know where to find proof that she is indeed their daughter. William's will lists his unmarried children and does not include her. My lineage: Melinda (Malinda) Beauchamp married Middleton Clayton Henrietta Clayton married Thomas Evans Sarah Mayo Evans married George Washington Burnett John J. Burnett married Lena Ray Harris I have seen lists of William's children posted in many places on the web and I believe she does belong to the family (following family activity through censuses), but just don't have documentation that actually connects her to William. To those of you who have her listed as one of his children - where did you find this information? Thanks! Marlene |
