I have JUST discovered Mary Hyanno & Austin Bearce, who were ggg-g'parents of my ever-so-great gm, Edith Hunter, w/o Brittain SAUNDERS, a NC family. (So I never suspected the New England roots! I have been looking for a HUNTER family in NC or VA for months!) I am intrigued by the "raging controversy" about Austin's wives. Is it possible that he m. Mary Hyanno first, and then m. Mary (Martha) Wilder? What is the evidence that Mary Wilder was his wife?
