Hi John, So nice for you to reply to me. I do realize that there were more then one person named Francis Beaman in the area at the time in question, and from all that I can find is that the wife's name was Mary. So that only tends to confuse rather than clarify. How great that your Aunt had kept record by actual hand writing it all down. Unfortunately, I am not so well blessed in that aspect. I have to search out & seek those that are much more learned then myself. It is through that searching that answers are found. The mystery of our family that walked this great earth before us, are the backbone of who we ourselves are this day. The finding of this knowledge of who they were & how they lived, may be trying at times. That is why there is a special group of people that make it their goal in life to find these things & inform us~the unlearned. But, not so unlearned, that we do not try. How else can we find these answers, unless we seek? It is with that thought in mind, when I set out to ask questions of Who or Where or When? The search of geneology is a wonderful thing, especially when we can share the knowledge of what we know with those that come after us. I also am a direct descendant of Francis Beaman, albeit~may not be by the same Francis Beaman as you. I have searched for a very long time to find my Beaman/Beman family~so much so, that I now know when & why our family started spelling the name as Beman. Although, my information may not be as solid in the blood as yours & handed down to me. It is a good source. One is from a person that spent time with a Beaman Genealogist & was allowed to make copies of her notes before she died. http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=larrymoler&id=I04061 ********************* The other source is from another descendant of Francis Beaman Beaman Gleanings http://members.aol.com/Gfahs/Beaman.html ********************* Children of Francis [senior] and Mary Beaman who were mentioned in Quaker minutes were Francis, Ozias, Abraham, James, David, Martha, Keziah, Josiah, Polly and Cornelius.
