I would appreciate some correspondence with someone familiar with this couple in NC.
I am particularly interested in Thomas MILLER Jr & Sr who witnessed the 1773 Bute Co NC deed from the BAXTERs to Wood MALONE. The tract was on Six Pound Creek:
I've noticed severeal other deeds which mention Nathaniel BAXTER mention the following:
COLEMAN, Richard, Sr
My Bute Co NC connection is from William GILREATH who had a GRANVILLE grant on Six Pound Creek which was adjacent land of Richard COLEMAN.
William GILREATH Jr witnessed the 1775 will of Henry FOOTE in which FOOTE mentions the land bought of William BALTHROP in 1774 (land BALTHROP bought from Nathaniel BAXTER--who bought it from Richard COLEMAN Sr). Thomas MILLER Sr was one of the executors of the will of Henry FOOTE.
I've noticed that Richard COLEMAN sold one tract of land on Hawtree very early (1761) to John BRADLEY:

I am hoping some BAXTER researcher might have some thoughts (insight) or comments which help locate this property, lead to an earlier settlement for these people in VA (or SC?) or NC.
Is this anywhere near the area of (Revd William) WALKER's Meeting House? Sandy Creek of Bute Co NC--1775 deed from BASS to NELMS:
Is that a Baptist group?
It's my understanding that Presbyterians tended to travel in a group and with a preacher.
I have worked a bit on the Revd John BAXTER fl 1738 SC.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
