When I found the name Ellen Baskerville as the mother on my great-grandmother's birth certificate I started researching her and her family but had very limited success. (See my posting of 23/7/05). Eventually I was contacted by Melanie, who is also researching this line, who came up with a theory I could scarcely believe. This prompted me to re-double my efforts and between us, we came to some very surprising conclusions.

This has turned out to be a very complicated line and is still a bit controversial in places. The whole story is far too long to put here but it has inspired me to start my own Genealogy Website to present all the evidence and the conclusions we've drawn.

It's at http://www.kayrodbourn.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk I'd welcome any comments or queries either here or via the email links on the site.
