I don't know if this will help, but George Thomas Basden published a book about his experiences among the Ibos, "Among the Ibos of Nigeria". Here is another reference "Niger Ibos: a description of the primitive life, customs and animistic beliefs, etc., of the Ibo people of Nigeria." With 70 illustrations and a sketch map and a [new impression with] new bibliographical note by John Ralph Willis. I found this in the University of Georgia library card catolog. Deborah Byrd
