My name is Per Balch-Barth from Norway. Is my family related to the Balch family in America? This is the first time today that I heard of a Balch Family. My grandfather had a aunt called Balch and I have been told that she was the last person in Norway with that name. My grandfathers name was Barth but I was told he added Balch to his own name in her honour. There is no one with the name Balch living in Noway today, only Balch-Barth.
