The following Balch lines either have been tested or are in the process of being tested as part of the DNA project: 1. A Balch line from Lithuania that orginally went by the name Balchowsky. They came to the U.S. in the mid-to-late 1800s and settled in the Chicago area. 2. A Balch line that had settled in Sumner Co., TN by 1840. There is speculation that it is a branch of the Maryland Balch line. We should find out shortly. You can read more about this line here: http://www.baulch.us:80/John-SophiaBaulchSource.htm 3. The Maryland Balch line represented by a descendant of Dr. Hezekiah Balch b. 1741 in Maryland. (Results pending) The testing company being used for the project is currently offering limited discounts on testing through the end of the year. Please contact me for more information. Thanks!
