OBITUARY. dated 3.7.1935 Sydney Morning Herlad
MR. ELLIS FIELDING-JONES.
Mr. William Owen Ellis Fielding-Jones, who died yesterday at his residence, Drumalbyn road, Bellevue Hill, was a leading figure in business and pastoral circles, and had a meritorious record in the Royal Air Force.
He was born in Glasgow and was son of Mr. Edward Fielding-Jones who married Miss Ella Friend daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Friend of Sydney. He was only 35 years of age. He was educated at St Paul, USA but on the outbreak of war went to England and joined the Royal Air Force in which he served throughout the war.
In 1919 Mr. Fielding-Jones came to Australia and purchased a property at
Gulargambone. Later he obtained another property in the Singleton district. He married Miss. Margaret Osborne only child of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Osborne of Point Piper in 1927. There are three daughters the eldest being seven years of age.
Mrs. Fielding-Jones is president of the Tresillian mothercraft organisation.
The funeral will leave St. Mark's Church Darling Point to morrow after a service commencing at 9.30 a.m. for the Crematorium Chapel, Rookwood.Fix this text
