Hi, I'm trying to trace the Jewell family from London, England but am struggling to fill some gaps. My great-grandmother is Edith Rose Jewell - born in 1911 in Ratcliff, London, England and died in 1995 in Sydney, Australia.
Her parents were Edith Ellen Percival and Edward Jewell.
I am seeking to fill some missing gaps regarding Edward Jewell's early life:-
Was he an orphan?
If so, may have been dropped off at Gordon's Home for Boys or Barnardos Home for Boys as a baby
How long did he stay there
Did he go to an Industrial workplace
