Hi Everyone
I'm trying to sort out the parents of my GGGrandfather Charles STARR/STAR.

I have Charles Starr's marriage certificate here which I have just received from the Presbyterian Archives office and it states that Charles's parents are John Star/Ann Wright.

Charles was married to Mary Jane Goody at North Logan (NSW Australia) 25th November 1861. It states he was 24 years old born in Victoria? (No country stated).

His death certificate 1897 Temora NSW states his parents are John Star/r and Mary WRIGHT and that he was in the colony 40 years born in Cambridge England which tied in with what I thought was him immigrating to NSW in 1857 on the "Washington Irving" from Foxton (KENT) as it said. Could be Folkstone???

Now just to add to the confusion on Charles Juniors birth certificate 1864 NSW Charles senior is the informant and it states that he Charles was born in Cambridge. Also on two other of his children certs it say's England as birth place for Charles!!!!!!

I've been collating information on the Charles Starr who came from Foxton Cambridge with the parents John Star and Ann LOKER.

There is a tree on line with certificates, etc, that shows the Charles Star born Cambridge as dying in England, so there are obviously 2 Charles Star (Starr). The one dying in England has parents John Starr/Ann Loker.

This above information re the tree on Ancestry was just sent to me this afternoon, I don't have Ancestry at the moment so I haven't seen it for myself.

So now I don't know what is what, if the Charles Starr I have here who died in Temora in 1897 was born in Foxton Cambridgeshire or was born in Victoria or Kent in England. I also don't know now if his parents are John Starr and Mary or Ann Wright or Ann LOKER.

If anyone could suggest how I can straighten this out I would be very grateful, what a headache. Kindest Regards Dianna from Sydney
