Hi Jene,

Having a look at information that others have posted online, it seems that someone has taken a wrong turn somewhere and mixed up two different families.

Here is the family of Albert Edward PEART in Tasmania

I have checked this info, and it is correct. As you can see, it was Albert who was born in 1872, not his father George. George died in Tas in 1913 and he was also born there in 1846, the son of William Miller PEART and Mary BAKER. I see no mention anywhere of him having a second name "Joseph".

Son Albert had financial problems in Tasmania in 1899 and left Australia. He returned to Tasmania in 1914 ("Suevic" to Melbourne, "Wirna" to Tasmania) with his wife Susanna Helena and Tasman aged 1, then again in 1915 with his wife and two children Tasman and Sylvia on the "Corinthic". They stayed until at least 1919 as they appear on the electoral roll at Wynyard where Albert is a storekeeper.

They must have gone to South Africa soon after, as Albert died at Vryburg in 1923. Here is his death notice:

The newspaper site has a lot of birth, death, and marriage notices for various members of this family.
