“Advertiser” newspaper, 31 May 1921, p.8. (may need correcting).
Mr. W. J. P. Giddings (chairman of the Corps of Veterans).
There was a large attendance of veterans, though the band is rapidly dwindling.
The oldest present were :
W. Freeman (90), Naval Transport Corps, Crimea;
G. Thompson (89), Sergeant 1st Madras Fusiliers, Indian Mutiny (Defence of Lucknow)
R. Walker (83), land Transport Corps, Crimea.
