I'm trying to find any descendants of either of these families that can help me go back the other way - aside from the pleasure of finding ones currently!

George Notman married my g.grandfather's sister, Ann Duncan in Scotland and they immigrated to Melbourne. George died at age 74 in 1895 and is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery. His wife Ann died at age 50 in 1877. George was a coach trimmer. They had a son George who died at age 31 in 1884 and is also buried at the cemetery.

Ann's sister Helen came with Ann and eventually married William Taylor in Melbourne who ran a grocery. William died at age 40 in 1872 and is buried in the same cemetery. Helen died at age 52 in 1885 and is also buried there. As far as I can tell they had no children.

The person who authorized George and Ann's burials was John Notman, a nephew. John also had a son William Norman who died at age 20 in 1905 and is also buried in the family plot. John was living, at the time of his son's death at St. Leonard's Road, Ascot Vale.

I can't find John or any other living or dead relative for either of these couples. I'm coming to Melbourne next year and will be visiting the cemetery but would really like to have as much info. as I can about both families before I come.

Thanks for your time.
